Malika has hosted local and national television programs. She has also served as a guest, spokesperson, and reporter. Since being hired as a journalist for Hawaii’s CBS affiliate in 2007, Malika has anchored more than 600 newscasts as a certified broadcast meteorologist. During the five years that she served as morning feature reporter for Hawaii News Now, she also conducted live interviews on more than 700 shows. This does not include the six years she spent as Chief Meteorologist and entertainment reporter for Maui Now and Big Island Now where her digital video production skills and on-camera talent led Pacific Media Group to the number one spot as Maui’s most watched and read news source.
